Hey moms! Buying for a toddler can be so confusing. They are just learning to speak and have no idea what they really want for their birthday or holidays until around age 4 or 5. My toddler just turned 4, and I have been paying attention to the shows she watches, what she asks for in a target, and the toy commercials that make her shake her booty. This year was the first year she was able to tell me a couple of items that she wanted. This post will give you a guide to some of the popular toys for toddlers and the appropriate age.
What ages are considered a toddler?
Ages 1-3 but use your judgment, but I will still consider age 4 for this post. So, ages 1-4.

Ages (3-5)
I love to purchase educational gadgets for my little ones. This age is when they are little sponges, and parents will need to make sure they are soaking up valuable information.
The kinetic set is filled with incredible things you create exploring shapes & colors (Shape Builder)! Practice counting as you build numbers creating a town of buildings & friendly animals (Counting Town). Learn letter formation & phonics with 300+ words (ABCs), creating images in 5 playgrounds & watch them come to life on screen (Squiggle Magic).
Ages (3+)
I don’t know about you, but I love barbie as a kid; she never goes out of style. What an excellent opportunity for moms to spend with their little princess and sharing how you played as a youngster.
It comes with closet accessories and 5 outfits – there’s a shimmery pink party dress, a day look with checkered shirt and floral skirt, a striped tie-top and patterned shorts, a pediatrician’s outfit with striped dress and white doctor’s coat and a scuba wetsuit
3. Disney Junior Mickey Mouse Camper (only on Amazon)

Disney is everyone’s favorite; even as an adult, I still love Disney. Sometimes I believe I am more excited than my children.

4. L.O.L Surprise O.M.G Remix Doll
Age (4+)
This is the most crucial topic at my home. My 4-year daughter is always talking about L.O.L dolls and their surprise kits. She is almost obsessed; we have to get a L.O.L Surprise egg when we go to Target.

5. Play-Doh

Play-Doh is an all-time favorite for generations. My children even watch cute little Play-Doh shows that will show you how to make small stuff fun.

Age (3+)
6. Lego Duplo
Age (2+)
I like the Duplo style because they are more extensive. Two reasons for having larger Legos are great:
- If your children are younger and you are afraid of them swallowing the Legos
- The cleaning up process is more manageable, and you won’t break your neck on them like the smaller Legos you never see in the middle of the night.
7. Baby Shark Musical Play Pad

Age (6 + months)
I am so tired of hearing the baby shark song; my kids will sing it even when it’s not on TV; however, children love baby shark, and your little one will too.
Features 5 fun songs including the hit Baby Shark song! With sounds and music, it’s a fun and interactive way to develop your toddler’s fine and gross motor skills!
Age (18 + months)
When my children were around 18 months, they love to see Elmo dance; it would put a smile on their little faces and have them laughing for hours.
14 FUN PHRASES AND 5 SONGS: This talking and singing Elmo toy features cute phrases and lyrics set to the tune of kids’ favorite songs, like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” — in English and Spanish! For even more monster fun, when kids squeeze Rock and Rhyme Elmo’s nose, he makes 4 silly honking sounds!
9. Disney’s Frozen Electronic Me Reader & Books Set
Age (2+)
It’s great to read to children, especially when they are younger, and if you are a busy mom, your child can press the button while the book will read to them. Books include: Ice is Nice, Best Friends, Troll Troubles, Elsa’s Magic, Olaf’s Dream, A Royal Visit, Snow Angels & Frozen.

Little kids love to bang and beat on things, especially if they make unique sounds. Toddlers can play along to 9 melodies in styles including rock, dance, and pop; music toy teaches letters, numbers, and music. The drums will also light up bright while playing. Sounds like a toddler’s dream.
